Fully custom high power 12V distributor
There was nothing off the shelf we could buy that would allow us to draw a few hundred amps in 12V loads while simultaenously having enough outputs for all needs. We also wanted something flexible that we could configure depending on the application, so I designed and built a custom high power distributor which we named the HPD. The HPD allowed for any of the outputs to convert into a load or a source by replacing each slot with either a bus bar or a mega fuse. Additionally I wanted the HPD to allow flexibility in wire routing, many of the off the shelf options only allowed wires to exit and enter in one direction, and I wanted the HPD to be able to route wires in any of the 4 directions. The nice part about the HPD is its ability to daisy chain with another HPD by simply connecting two of them in series.

HPD in its entirety, the cover zip ties to the carrier via the slots on the side

Under the cover is the positive center rail, with either inputs or mega fuses branching out from it into our loads. The positive rail has an insulating divider with a compression limiter that prevents things from shorting and touching the grounding bus bars on the lowe level
